Privacy Policy

Daesang ST Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) establishes the following Privacy Policy to protect users’ personal information and rights in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea, and to handle any related complaints in a prompt and efficient manner.

If the Company revises this Privacy Policy, such changes will be announced on the website’s notice board (or by individual notification).


1. Purpose of Personal Information Processing, Items Collected, and Retention Period

The Company collects and processes the following personal information based on the consent of the data subject under Article 15(1)(1) of the Personal Information Protection Act.

2. Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information

  1. The Company retains and uses personal information within the retention/use period prescribed by law or as consented to by the data subject at the time of collection.

  2. The retention and use period for each processing purpose is as follows:
     1) Access Control: 1 year (based on consent under Article 15(1) of the Personal Information Protection Act)


3. Procedures and Methods of Destroying Personal Information

  1. The Company will promptly destroy personal information when the retention period has expired or when the purpose of processing has been achieved.

  2. Personal information in electronic form will be permanently deleted in a way that prevents recovery or restoration. Records or printed materials in paper form will be shredded or incinerated.


4. Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information

The Company takes the following technical, managerial, and physical measures to ensure the security of personal information:

  1. Managerial Measures: Establishment and implementation of internal management plans, operation of a dedicated management department, and regular employee training.

  2. Technical Measures: Access control and authority management for personal information processing systems, installation of access control systems, encryption of personal information, and installation and regular updates of security programs.

  3. Physical Measures: Access control for computer rooms and data storage facilities.


5. Use of Cookies and Refusal Options

  1. The Company uses cookies to provide users with customized services and enhanced convenience.

  2. A cookie is a small piece of data sent by the web server (HTTP) to the user’s browser and stored on the user’s PC or mobile device.

  3. Users can manage cookie settings (allow, block, or delete) via their browser options. However, refusing cookies may limit personalized services.

6. Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and Methods of Exercise

  1. Data subjects may exercise the following rights at any time: request for access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, withdrawal of consent, or objection to automated decision-making.

  2. Such requests may be made in writing, by email, or by fax pursuant to Article 41(1) of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act, and the Company will promptly respond.

  3. Rights may also be exercised by an authorized representative. In this case, a power of attorney in the format prescribed by the Personal Information Handling Guidelines (Form No. 11) must be submitted.

  4. Requests for access or suspension of processing may be restricted under Articles 35(4) and 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act.

  5. Where other laws require the retention of certain personal information, deletion requests cannot be accepted.

  6. If automated decision-making is based on prior consent, contract terms, or legal provisions, the right to refuse such decision-making may not apply, though the right to request an explanation or review is allowed. Requests may be denied if they infringe upon the life, body, property, or other rights of others.

  7. The Company will verify the identity of the requester or their legal representative before processing any rights-related request.

  8. Requests for the exercise of rights should be directed to the department below.
